An e-trekking bike with full suspension and a wave frame - you don't see that every day. The Focus Aventura² FS should iron every crease out of the forest track thanks to its 100 mm suspension.

An e-trekking bike with full suspension and a wave frame? That's a sight you don't see every day on the current market. While full-suspension mountain bikes are standard, step-through bikes have long been regarded as comfortable but technically simple city bikes. Focus breaks with this dogma and launches the Aventura² FS as a full-suspension super all-rounder for city, trekking and light trail tours. It combines the uncomplicated step-through of a wave frame with the suspension of a modern touring MTB.

Why full suspension on a step-through bike?

The centrepiece of the Aventura² FS is the compact four-bar kinematics. With 100 mm suspension travel at the rear and a 120 mm suspension fork at the front, the goal is clearly defined: Maximum comfort and riding stability. In contrast to conventional hardtails, which transmit shocks directly to the rider, the FS simply irons out cobblestones, rooty forest tracks or easy trails.

A good solution: the air shock is integrated into the frame so that the valve for the shock pump remains freely accessible at all times. A QR code on the frame serves as a digital assistant: a scan is all it takes to receive step-by-step instructions on how to perfectly adjust the suspension to your own body weight and payload.

Trekking bike with MTB genes

The Aventura² FS is not a naked MTB that has been retrofitted with accessories. It is a well thought-out trekking system from the ground up:

How do you like this article?
  • Vario seat post: All models are equipped with a lowerable seat post (up to 150 mm stroke) as standard. This is not only practical off-road, but also makes getting on and off the bike extremely comfortable, as you can place both feet firmly on the ground.
  • Luggage expert: The sturdy luggage carrier is certified according to the MIK standard (Mounting Is Key). Bags and baskets can be securely clicked into place in a matter of seconds. With a load capacity of 20 kg, the bike is ready for the big weekly shopping trip or your luggage.
  • Robustness: High-quality aluminium mudguards and a stable, rattle-free kickstand round off the package. Thanks to a permissible system weight of 150 kg, even heavy riders and their luggage will not reach the load limit.

Bosch power with upgrade

Focus consistently relies on the Bosch Smart System for the drive. One special feature is the flexibility of the power supply: Buyers have the choice between a 600 Wh battery (lighter and more agile) or the massive 800 Wh power pack for maximum range. The battery can be removed from the down tube without tools - a mechanical lock ensures that nothing rattles or slips when riding. Depending on the model, the Bosch Performance Line delivers 75 Nm (FS 6.7) or the Performance Line CX 100 Nm (FS 6.8 and 6.9 models).

The entry-level model is also the price-performance tip. Equipped with the Bosch Performance Line motor (75 Nm), it offers enough power for most everyday scenarios. Gears are shifted using the robust Shimano Cues 9-speed groupset, which was specially developed for the high forces of e-bikes. The compact Purion 200 display combines control unit and display in one device.

Focus Aventura² FS 6.8

The golden centre: This is where the heart of the Bosch Performance Line CX beats. The 10-speed Shimano Cues gears provide a finer gradation, while the air suspension fork responds even more sensitively. A safety highlight: the lighting system has a high beam function that makes night-time cross-country journeys much safer. The system is controlled via the Kiox 300 colour display.

  • Frame: Aluminium
  • Suspension fork: SR Suntour Mobie 34 D Air, 100-120 mm (depending on size)

Focus Aventura² FS 6.9

If nothing else, the top model is a technology leader. In addition to the Shimano Cues 11-speed gears, this bike shines above all with the Bosch eBike ABS. The anti-lock braking system prevents the front wheel from slipping or the rear wheel from lifting off during emergency braking - a massive safety benefit, especially on slippery surfaces. The large Kiox 500 display also offers acoustic navigation instructions.
