The Urban CTS clearly stands out from the competition in the test field. It boasts the highest-torque Shimano mid-motor and a large 500 Wh battery. The bike is also in a different league when it comes to equipment. The brakes and rear derailleur come from Shimano's high-quality XT modular system.
Despite this, the weight of the Storck remains well under 20 kilos, thanks to the very elaborately manufactured carbon frame. Thanks to the significant handlebar rise, Urban CTS riders sit upright on the bike. The wide handlebars are pleasantly cranked and the riding position is comfortable. If you remove three possible spacers, you sit a little more sportily. The Storck is agile and lively, mainly due to the high-torque drive and the 27.5-inch tyres. The fact that the frame is not very stiff is not noticeable.
The 57-millimetre-wide knobbly tyres may not look the part on an urban bike, but they cushion well and provide a lot of safety off the beaten track. They roll a little rough on tarmac. The extravagant Urban CTS has a great finish, high-quality equipment and is not only impressive in the city.
