At just over 20 kilos, the Feddz is the heaviest bike in the test field. However, it also has the stiffest frame. The E-Urban is solidly built and attractively finished. The riding position on the E-Urban is sporty, the wide handlebars on the short, non-adjustable stem ensure very direct steering behaviour.
The E-Urban is lively and agile to steer, the Bafang drive pushes the Feddz discreetly forwards. Unfortunately, it takes about half a turn of the cranks before it starts up. This prevents dynamic acceleration and makes hill starts more difficult. On the other hand, the motor reduces power continuously and predictably when you stop pedalling. The drive is controlled via a display with a control element on the left handlebar end. It can be switched on there and one of the five support levels can be selected.
Almost all cables and wires are well protected inside the frame tubes. The front brake cable is attached to the fork with cable ties - a break with the otherwise good workmanship of the E-Urban. We liked the wheel protectors made of sturdy aluminium plate and the filigree pannier stays.
