Transferring the 29er effect to bikes for smaller bikers - this is the principle adopted by the Ravensburg-based manufacturer VPace. The Allgäu-based company also puts relatively large wheels in compact frames, which should offer juniors more safety. In concrete terms: If you would go for a 24-inch bike for normal children's bikes, a 26-inch bike will fit in the Max series, and 26 inches becomes 27.5 inches. The young brand has had a 24- and 26-inch bike based on this principle in its programme for some time, and with the Max275, VPace completes the range and closes the gap to the 29er.
With a seat tube length of 360 millimetres, the 27.5-inch version fits small racers from around 1.45 metres. The lightweight, elegant wheels give the racing file great acceleration; with plenty of tyre clearance, the frame is also prepared for particularly wide tyres. In addition to hydraulic Avid disc brakes, VPace installs many parts from its own brand, tailored to the needs of children. At the front, you can choose between a carbon rigid fork and a Suntour or Fox suspension fork. Without pedals, the total weight remains under 10 kilos.
