The heroes of my youth were Tony Hawk and Erich Kühnhackl. They achieved almost unbelievable feats on the skateboard and ice hockey stick. When children today dream of a great racing career on a mountain bike, they probably have images of Nino Schurter or Kate Courtney crossing the finish line of a World Cup race in jubilant poses in their heads. Scott has created the Junior Pro line precisely for these boys and girls. Here, the next generation will not only find the right outfit for the start line, but also a shrunken competition bike for the sprint across the finish line. The Scale RC models in 20 and 24 inches are equipped with rigid forks to minimise weight. Schwalbe Rocket Ron tyres provide grip off-road and hydraulic disc brakes ensure reliable deceleration. Equipped with ten and eleven gears, the bikes weigh just under 8 and 8.5 kilos respectively.

The suspension and telescopic seat post are optimised for riders weighing less than 45 kilos. The little shredders should have a lot of fun off-road and keep their parents on their toes. The 20-inch bike with 120 millimetres of suspension travel at the front and 100 millimetres at the rear has a Shimano 10-speed drivetrain and hydraulic Tektro disc brakes.
