With the Nize One 24 Black Series children's MTB, Nize presents a 24-inch enduro hardtail with 120 millimetres of suspension travel. The black firecracker has a modern geometry with a slack 65-degree head angle and a steep 75-degree seat angle. The short reach combined with the long suspension travel makes the front end quite high, but this was not a problem on descents. Our tester Florian (1.20 metres) had to leave the dropper seatpost more or less fully retracted. Apart from that, however, he got on well with the bike and really let it rip.
The two harmonised perfectly, especially in tricky passages. The lightweight Rocket Ron tyres from Schwalbe always offered the little rider enough grip and safety - a good combination.
The fact that the wheels are not extra light is also due to the large number of spokes (32). The Manitou fork responds well, with a length of 127 millimetres the short cranks fit children's legs well and the particularly thin grips fit well in children's hands.
All in all, a coherent package for small shredders from 1.20 metres who like to ride downhill. Dispensing with the rear suspension reduces the weight to 10.9 kilograms and makes the geometry more accessible for very young riders.
"Enduro" is a fitting label for the Nize One 24 Black Series. The 10-year warranty on the frame emphasises that the bike is made for multiple riders.
The thin grips fit my small hands perfectly. The bike rides well, but I would prefer a fully.
