Lightweight children's bikes and useful accessories in the check
Children are increasingly becoming the focus of bike manufacturers. You rarely see heavy children's bikes and unsuitable equipment. We have put together some exciting new products for young bikers.

THE NEW CHILDREN'S BIKES

Cube Reaction C:62 Youth: Young racers can really step on the gas with this racing file. The high-tech carbon fibre C:62 can also be found in the bikes of the World Cup pros. With its air-sprung Manitou fork, 12-speed drivetrain and hydraulic Magura brakes, the Reaction weighs in at just 10.1 kilos - making the 1499 euros seem fair. Depending on the size (13.5 or 15 inches), the bike is fitted with 27.5 or 29-inch wheels. Slim seat stays and a 27.2 millimetre seat post bring some comfort to the tough race tracks.Photo: HerstellerCube Reaction C:62 Youth: Young racers can really step on the gas with this racing file. Stefan Frey is from Lower Bavaria and loves the mossy, loamy trails of the Bavarian Forest as much as the rugged rock of the Dolomites. For technical descents, he is prepared to tackle almost any ascent - under his own steam. As an accessories specialist, he is the first port of call for questions about equipment and add-on parts, while as head of copywriting he sweeps the language crumbs from the pages of the BIKE print editions.
