For children's first experiences in the bike park, the British children's bike manufacturer Early Rider has launched two new fully mountain bikes for children in collaboration with the American children's bike brand Lil Shredder. With the Hellion X20 in 20 inches and the Hellion X24 in 24 inches, children from the age of 6 can test their off-road talents.
Both models consist of an aluminium single-pivot frame with a CNC-milled shock absorber rocker and can be fitted with a telescopic seat post. The bikes are equipped with hydraulic Shimano Deore disc brakes, 2.25 inch wide tyres and adapted suspension elements from RST and DMN. The two children's mountain bikes are available immediately.
The Early Rider Hellion X20 is designed for children aged 6 to 8 years and has a suspension travel of 100 millimetres at the front and 95 millimetres at the rear. The ten gears are sorted by a solid Shimano gear mix with a Zee rear derailleur. Thanks to the interchangeable dropout, the 10.15-kilogram bike can also be converted to smaller 16-inch wheels. The Early Rider Hellion 20 is available for 2399 euros.
The Hellion X24 is designed for children aged 8 and over. According to the manufacturer, the bike weighs 11.5 kilograms and is equipped with a 120 mm suspension fork. At the rear, you can choose between 100 and 125 millimetres of suspension travel. Shifting is done with a Shimano Deore 11-speed gearbox. The price: 2499 euros.
