“Mum, I want that one!” Cube presents new bikes that are sure to set children’s hearts racing. The Numove children’s bike range spans 12-inch to 24-inch models, including road versions dubbed “Street” and a low-step model. According to Cube, the new children’s bikes are characterised by their light weight, plenty of riding fun and child-friendly geometry. And let’s face it: they certainly look stylish!
Cube Numove: Fun on two wheels for everyone, from the (very) young to the old?
A lightweight bike is easier to control and is therefore more fun to ride. Among other things, the thin, sturdy aluminium tubes are designed to help achieve this. Cube promises that the lightweight tyres have low rolling resistance whilst still offering plenty of grip. What’s more, better control also means greater confidence. The child-sized grips ensure just that.
In addition, there is an adjustable handlebar with a narrow diameter and brake levers specially shaped for children’s hands. Models with wheels up to 18 inches have an enclosed chain guard for greater safety whilst riding. The new Cube Numove range comprises a total of ten models ranging from 12 to 24 inches, covering rider heights from 92 to 136 cm. This means there’s the right bike for everyone, laying the foundations for a future in mountain biking!
Cube Numove 120: 12 inches for the very youngest racers
The smallest model in Cube’s new Numove range is the Numove 120 with 12-inch wheels – almost a miniature version of the adult bikes. The Numove 120 is suitable for children between 92 and 104 cm tall. After all, those first attempts at riding are the most important!
The 12-inch wheels are brought to a halt by a coaster brake and a rim brake at the front – complete with brake levers designed for little hands. A low step-through frame ensures confident handling. And the integrated chain guard prevents children’s trousers from getting caught in the chain.
Cube children’s bikes in all sizes
For slightly older children, there’s the Cube Numove 140. With its 14-inch wheels and suitable for children between 97 and 107 cm tall, the Numove 140 is fitted with rim brakes at the front and rear. High-quality components, such as the standard bottom bracket manufactured in Germany, are designed to ensure these children’s bikes have a long service life.
For people between 102 and 111 cm tall, this is the Numove 160 suitable. It comes with 16-inch wheels, front and rear V-brakes, a lightweight frame and wheels, as well as handlebars, grips and brake levers that are specially designed for small hands.
The Numove 180 It rides on 18-inch wheels and is ideal for children between 107 and 118 cm tall. Schwalbe tyres, a closed chain guard and powerful V-brakes at the front and rear complete the setup.
The big siblings: Cube Numove 200 and 240
For older children, Cube offers the Numove 200 and Numove 240. The 200 version comes fitted with an 8-speed Shimano gear system, 20-inch wheels and V-brakes at the front and rear.
The stem is adjustable so that the child – even as they grow – is always seated just right on the bike. The Numove 240, with 24-inch wheels and a light weight of just 8.2 kilograms, is designed for budding cyclists between 118 and 136 cm in height. Also included once again: the 8-speed Shimano gear system and the adjustable stem.
For safe cycling on the roads: the Cube Numove Street and Cube Ella
When you’re not out on the trails but on the road – for example, on your way to school or to training – you need to be safe: The Cube Numove 200/240 Street offers the right accessories – such as lights, stands, luggage racks and mudguards – for city riding.
The same goes for the two of them Ella 200 models and the Ella 240, which round off Cube’s new range of children’s bikes. The low-step frame offers more than just style: the full accessory set, comprising a luggage rack, mudguards, lights and a side stand, enhances this model too and makes it safe for use on public roads. Added to this is the 8-speed Shimano gear system, which ensures that the youngsters can easily keep up on weekend family rides. Rim brakes with levers specially designed for children’s hands and a slimmer handlebar are intended to provide a safe riding experience.
