Fat Chance Bicycles has presented the new Sea Otter at the Sea Otter Festival in Monterey, California. Yo Eddy 2.2 shown to the public for the first time. Version 2.2 is the successor to the steel classic that was reborn in 2015. The new Yo Eddy uses the newly designed, CNC-machined special dropout, which relies on 148 mm boost dimensions on the rear axle. This gives owners the choice of riding the Yo Eddy 2.2 with 27.5-inch plus tyres (up to 3.0 inches wide) or with 29er tyres up to 2.5 inches wide.
Also new: the thru-axle and the rear brake calliper mount, which fixes the brake caliper to the chainstay so that the brake line can be routed neatly and cleanly. In terms of geometry, the Yo Eddy remains true to its predecessors and favours classic dimensions and angles.
Fat Chance founder Chris Chance continues to play an important role in the development and design of the bikes. As the frames are only made to order, customers have a number of custom options such as colour preferences, decals or special cable routing. From design to welding to painting: The Yo Eddy 2.2 is manufactured entirely in the USA.
