The compact Cube Longtail Hybrid cargo bike is similar to the classic trekking bike, but has an extended, sturdy pannier rack and can therefore carry more: There is space for up to two children, a 40 x 60 cm Eurobox or spacious side bags on the robust and cushioned pannier rack. The carrier can carry a total load of up to 60 kg, 40 kg on top and 10 kg on each side.
Even more load capacity can be achieved by retrofitting an optional front pannier rack with an additional 20 kg load capacity. There is also a lockable storage compartment in the down tube. An additional down tube carrier can also be attached to the down tube at two mounting points.
Cube Longtail Hybrid: One size fits (almost) all
A short wheelbase and 26" wheels should make the Cube Longtail Hybrid comfortable to ride, even with a load. To make the compact frame suitable for as many people as possible, the manufacturer has provided a telescopic seatpost and the height-adjustable Speedlifter stem. A wide range of riders from 1.60 to 1.90 metres tall should find space on the cargo bike thanks to this "one-size" concept.
Maintenance-free or sporty?
To get the maximum system weight of 200 kilos moving, a Bosch Performance Line CX motor with 85 Nm torque and two batteries with a total of 1350 Wh batteries will provide a powerful boost from model year 2025.
There are two gear variants to choose from: The "Longtail Hybrid 725" version features an Enviolo hub gear with Gates belt. In the new "Longtail Sport Hybrid Family 1350" version, a wide range of Shimano Cues 10-speed derailleur gears.
Cube Longtail: child transporter or cargo donkey?
Cube offers a range of optional accessories for the safe transport of children on the Longtail Hybrid. For example, a two-piece seat, a footboard and a side guard for the rear wheel. There is also an additional attachment for the seat bench, either to hold on to for the little passengers or to secure goods against slipping sideways. Cube also offers a front pannier rack with matching bag for transporting loads.
