Manufacturer warranties put to the test
BIKE wants to find out what happens when customers claim the statutory warranty or voluntary manufacturer guarantees. Send us your experiences too!

The equipment is expensive, so the annoyance is great: Have you ever had practically new clothes fall apart, frames break, paint flake off without doing anything wrong? And what happened next? Did the dealer shrug his shoulders and get you a replacement or did you have to take the big lawyer's club?

BIKE wants to find out what it really looks like when the customer demands the statutory warranty or voluntary manufacturer's guarantees. We are looking for real cases from the field. No "I've heard", but (preferably in text + pictures) documented, verifiable complaints of damage to mountain bikes, parts and accessories. We are happy when a manufacturer has actually replaced a frame with a "lifetime guarantee" after 20 years. But we are also interested in what others can learn from your endless annoyance when a shoe sole tears off after two weeks.

Would you like to take part? Then send us an e-mail with the keyword "complaint" (absolutely, otherwise it will not work) to
leseraktion@bike-magazin.de
in which you briefly describe your case and its outcome. Don't forget your contact details and telephone number! We will select the most exciting examples - and perhaps a colleague will come by soon to hear the full story.

Thank you very much!
