Great security, small size: with the Litelok X1 Mini, the British manufacturer is launching a shortened version of its best-known U-lock. The target group is sporty everyday riders who want uncompromising theft protection but want to keep an eye on weight and pack size. A barronium armour is designed to offer extreme protection against angle grinder attacks.

The X series from Litelok stands for a clear promise: high resistance to attacks with the angle grinder. With the X1 Mini now follows the more compact version of the popular X series. The headband is significantly shorter and the weight is reduced to 1.48 kilogramme - However, the fundamental security architecture remains unchanged.

Less volume, same safety class

The centrepiece remains the patented Barronium composite armoura combination of materials that is said to have an effect on angle grinders like kryptonite on Superman. The combination of extremely hard ceramic and metallic components melts cutting discs like ice in the sun. Attacks last longer - a decisive factor in urban environments.

Despite its compact dimensions, the lock remains Sold Secure Diamond-level and is approved for both bicycles and e-bikes. A self-sealing lock cylinder, reflective details and a rubberised outer cover to protect sensitive frames are also included as standard.

Practical focus: Transport and handling

The central innovation of the Litelok X1 Mini lies less in the material than in its suitability for everyday use. With a Internal dimensions of 99.5 × 136.6 millimetres the lock is clearly aimed at short stops: café, supermarket or workplace. The mini format is naturally less suitable for large connection points.

For transport supplies Litelok the new X1 Mini Tactical Mount. It fixes the lock to the frame without vibration and should remain rattle-free even on bumpy roads - a detail that is particularly relevant for sporty riders. Like all models in the X series, the X1 Mini is manufactured entirely in the UK, according to the manufacturer in a solar-powered production facility in Wales.

Compared to classic U-locks, the X1 Mini is clearly positioned in the premium segment. The added value comes from its high resistance to modern methods of attack, coupled with an unusually good transport solution for this security class.
