You can find out whether your employer offers a company bike from the HR department. In smaller companies, the management is the right point of contact. You will usually receive a link to the company bike provider, which lists all the information and the next steps. (Who is authorised, bike categories, maximum purchase price, how many months' term, insurance for bike leasing if applicable)
Use the link above to register with the company bike provider for bike leasing. Now you can choose the right bike directly from a specialist dealer. A list of all participating dealers can be found on the service bike provider websites. For a bike from a mail order company (e.g. Canyon, Rose, etc.), select the Jobrad or Dienstrad Leasing provider as the payment method in the order process. The specialist staff at the dealer are responsible.
The order for bike leasing is concluded directly with the specialist dealer or consignor. This order must then be submitted to the HR department for approval. The HR department confirms the order and the company bike provider instructs the specialist dealer or shipper to deliver the bike. When the bike is collected or dispatched depends largely on the delivery situation of the desired bike.
Once you have collected the bike from the dealer or it has been dispatched by the shipper, the monthly leasing instalment is automatically deducted from your salary and appears accordingly on your payslip. You don't have to take anything into account in your tax return. If you change employer before the end of the term, you must discuss with your employer how to proceed (e.g. purchase the bike via bike leasing).
