Developed in collaboration with cyclists from all over Europe, the Vodafone Curve Bike has launched a new generation of bike trackers onto the market that not only scores points with intelligent tracking, but also with optimised safety.
The Curve Bike is a smart bicycle rear light and has a variety of intelligent functions. Hidden behind the rear light is a GPS tracker that is not recognisable in this form at first glance. The Curve Bike retains all the functions of a rear light, such as the powerful LED light that lights up automatically when braking.
The built-in motion sensor in the tracker sounds an alarm as soon as the bike is moved unintentionally or leaves a defined zone. In this case, current location information is sent directly to the owner's mobile phone. This sensor also recognises an unexpected collision or fall and automatically sends a help message with the location data to a list of previously stored trusted contacts. Equipped with a Vodafone SIM card, the owner can locate the tracker in over 100 countries and log trips with route length and duration. The current location and the recorded routes can be displayed graphically via the Vodafone app.
Vodafone Curve Bike is part of the Curve family of tracking devices, which are based on Vodafone's IoT platform and are available in various countries. It follows on from Neo - the smart kids watch developed in partnership with Disney and launched earlier this year - and the versatile Curve GPS tracker. Cyclists can use Vodafone Curve Bike with the Vodafone Smart App. An app for Android and iOS smartphones that can be used to centrally manage all devices in the "Designed & Connected by Vodafone" range.
