The specifications of a modern all-mountain helmet have long included more than just safety. In addition to a high protection factor - after all, that's why you wear a helmet - it should fit comfortably and keep your head cool even on sweaty climbs. Style is also becoming increasingly important. In times of Instagram and the like, where people share, post and blog without pause, the look is often an important purchase criterion.
Uvex aims to achieve all of this with the new Quatro Integrale. The shell of the helmet is pulled far back into the neck to maximise protection for the back of the head. The large visor can be folded up in three stages to create space for a goggle. According to Uvex, the Integrale weighs 330 grams. The Uvex 360 degree IAS system is designed to ensure wearer comfort. To prevent bugs from entering the helmet through the large ventilation openings, these are fitted with fly screens. The padding can also be removed and washed. The 150 euro helmet is available in two sizes and five colours - e.g. at Rosebikes in the online shop (currently only 100 euros instead of 150 euros). We'll soon be testing what the helmet can actually do in BIKE.
