Impact protection: BlueGrass Legit Carbon

Did you see Vinny T's crash at the Red Bull Rampage? We held our breath and pulled our shoulders to our ears - scary! A nasty number and test at the same time, because Vinny was wearing the new Legit Carbon. Specially developed for tough use with MIPS to curb rotational forces. Cool look with a wide MX visor and cool wearing comfort because it is well ventilated. Available in black and all black, because black is now "the shit".

On speed: Exess Ecross

Not in the mood for a lift or unconventionally short opening hours at the bike park? Here's the solution: the Excess Ecross. German engineers developed this e-bike specifically for DH shredding. "Our bike can keep up with the performance of an organic big bike or enduro bike," believes engineer Jürgen Schulz. To test this, he had test riders take part in the IXS Cup in Winterberg. Result: Top 20.

PriceThe full carbon bullet (200 mm) with Bosch motor and 625 battery costs 7590 euros.

On pump: Troy Lee Designs A3

Protects and helps - the new A3 from the California label. Because 20 per cent of the proceeds go to Velosolutions' Pump for Peace campaign. The trail dudes build pump tracks in poorer countries around the world. Cool thing, we think. There's a lot of high-tech in the helmet and it looks sexy too - what more could you want?

Swiss made: Ribisu Rocket DH

Adrian Summermatter was already scribbling bike geometries in his maths exercise book, and ever since then he has been fascinated by bike design. 30 years later, he designed the Rocket DH and produces the 27.5-inch full carbon big bike with a short rear end (432 mm). It should not only be rocket-fast, but also playful for park missions and lighter than some enduro bikes (from 14.8 kg).

Price from 7380 Euro
