After wheels and clothing, Mavic is now also entering the helmet market. We rode the cheapest of the three models.

Visually, the helmets are fully focussed on cross-country, while the high-quality workmanship is impressive. The shell sits comfortably on chubbier heads. The adjustment wheel is easy to operate. Large openings ensure sufficient ventilation. Contrary to the stated weight of 270 grams, the helmet in size M weighs a whopping 332 grams. The chin strap is very short.

As an accessories specialist, he is the first port of call for questions about equipment and add-on parts, while as head of copywriting he sweeps the language crumbs from the pages of the BIKE print editions.
