Decathlon is recalling the Expl 500 and ST 500 mountain bike helmet from its own Rockrider brand with immediate effect. Products purchased between 2 July and 9 September 2024 with the following article numbers are affected
As part of safety and quality checks, Decathlon has discovered that some batches of the two bicycle helmet models Expl 500 and ST 500 have a defect in one of the plastic parts on the back of the helmet. This defect could affect the secure fit of the helmet, meaning that it could not be held securely in the event of a fall onto the head.
Decathlon provides a website so that customers can check whether their helmet is affected by the defect. All relevant information can be found here using the helmet's batch number.
>> The recall website is: recall-decathlon.fandi.fr/en/
The company is asking those affected to stop using the product and return it to the nearest Decathlon shop. Upon return, the money will be refunded or the product can be exchanged for another one.
If you have any queries, Decathlon customer service is also available from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 15:00 on +49 (0)6202-9781300.
