Crumple ball: Fox Rampage Pro Carbon helmet
A robust full-face helmet: the carbon model of the Fox Rampage fitted me straight away - before that I rode the Bell Full 9.
The thick, removable and washable pads are snug and comfortable on the face. 17 ventilation holes do their job, even on hot parking days. The weight is okay. We don't have any lab results because we didn't crash test the helmet, only I did involuntarily. I hit my face on a rock. The stiff chin guard prevented a broken jaw and tooth loss. Whether my head would have hurt less if the bar had flexed more remains a matter of speculation.
