The Giro Caden II MIPS in practice check

At first glance, the Giro Caden II MIPS the minimalist design and high-quality workmanship. The Giro helmet features the MIPS Evolve Core as an additional rotation system. The helmet can be easily adjusted to the head using the height-adjustable adjustment system integrated into the MIPS system.

The Caden II MIPS has a total of 12 ventilation openings, but these are relatively small and only allow a little air to reach the head. There is no insect protection.

The Giro Caden II MIPS also keeps a low profile when it comes to passive safety. Reflective elements can be found in the straps. A battery LED rear light is available as an optional accessory. The fastening is a simple buckle without any further adjustment options.

The Giro Caden II MIPS in the lab test

The Giro Caden II Mips has the best value for rotation protection with a 22 per cent risk of concussion. In terms of the acceleration value, i.e. the force that still acts on the head in the event of an impact, the Giro is in the middle of the helmet comparison with 123.2 g.
