Giro's latest trail helmet utilises a completely new type of MIPS system. With the so-called Spherical technology, two separate helmet shells can rotate against each other as if in an articulated socket.

The two separate helmet shells are designed to better dissipate the impact forces of a fall. The two shells are made of EPS material with different densities to provide additional shock absorption. In keeping with its price, the Manifest has a very high-quality finish and is extensively equipped. There is space for a goggle under the infinitely adjustable visor, the strap of which is held in place at the back by a rubber coating. If the sunglasses are inserted into the helmet, they are also secured by small rubber pads.

Particularly practical: the two strap ends find each other almost automatically thanks to a magnetic fastener. The Manifest sits very comfortably and securely on the head from the very first time you try it on, without pinching. However, the rubberised dial is very close to the shell and can only be operated with one finger. With a little practice, however, the Manifest can be adjusted to fit the head perfectly. Because the Spherical concept eliminates the classic MIPS plastic liner, there is more space in the shell for comfortable padding. The Manifest is well ventilated for a trail helmet, but is not exactly lightweight due to its extensive features. On longer rides, the side wings of the adjustment system pressed a little uncomfortably on the back of the head. However, thanks to the three-position height adjustment, it should be possible to find a suitable position for most riders.
