The term "bikepacking" comes from the world of mountain biking and originally stands for the combination of mountain biking and minimalist camping. Bikepacking is all about travelling into nature for a few days by bike in an uncomplicated way and with as little luggage as possible. Because many mountain bikes, especially full-suspension bikes, are not designed to take pannier racks, they are dispensed with and the bags are packed directly onto the bike with Velcro fasteners or straps. This has two advantages when riding off-road: No more flapping panniers can come loose from the carrier, and there are no panniers hanging off the side in the way when you have to dismount and push. The aim is therefore to achieve a slimmer profile for bikepacking than for touring bikes.
Cables are in the way or holes are missing ... It is not always possible to attach the bikepacking bag perfectly in the intended position. In this case, there is a whole range of alternative fastening solutions.
With the packing tray from Rasti bike The Klickfix system allows panniers or handlebar rollers to be attached to the handlebars without affecting the cables. Attachment with the Klickfix system ensures that there is sufficient distance to the handlebars and that you can shift gears and brake safely. The Klickfix adapter is available separately. The powder-coated aluminium packing plate weighs 531 grams.
