Just in time for the start of the bikepacking season, Zéfal and AGU are launching new bags with clever features and attach great importance to sustainability.

For anyone who doesn't want to travel by plane or car this summer but wants to set off by bike, frame bags are the means of choice. They offer plenty of space, are easy to fit and distribute the weight evenly on the bike. The Dutch company AGU and the French accessories manufacturer Zéfal have new frame bags with clever features in their programme for 2021.

100% recycled

The Venture collection from the Dutch cult brand AGU consists of five bags in different sizes. The aim is to create as much storage space as possible on the bike to accommodate the most important equipment. At the same time, the bags should be easy to attach to the frame. Velcro loops ensure this. Sustainable: The entire Venture collection is made from 100 per cent recycled polyester and is water-repellent. The bags are also equipped with 3M reflectors. This increases safety at night.

The Tube frame bag Venture is available in four different colours and three sizes. The Velcro straps make it easy to integrate into the frame triangle. A drinking connection is also integrated into the bag. Practical for long tours. Cost: from 35 euros.

With Velcro loops and straps, the Seat-Pack Venture under the saddle. The saddle bag has a capacity of 20 litres and is available in four different colours. The Seat-Pack costs 70 euros.

The Venture* handlebar bag should be able to hold 17 litres and is available in four colours. The bag for the handlebar costs 60 euros.

The Top-Tube frame bag Venture can be attached at the front (behind the stem) and at the rear on the top tube (on the seat post). This makes it easy to use while riding. The top tube bag is available in four different colours and costs 25 euros.

In order to absorb enough nutrients on long tours, the easily accessible Snack Pack Venture can be attached directly behind the handlebars. It is designed for snacks and small items that you need to get to quickly. It can be opened easily with a zip. The snack pack is available in four colours. Price: 20 euros.

The Bar Bag Venture handlebar bag is available in three colours, should be easy to attach and was designed together with the Dutch professional cyclist Robert Gesink. It is more suitable for shorter tours and for gravel bikes or racing bikes. Cost: 40 euros.

Zéfal's new Z Adventure series

For planned and unplanned bike adventures, the French accessory manufacturer Zéfal three new frame bags and a new saddle bag in the programme. They are designed to offer sufficient space, are waterproof and have welded zips.

The Z Adventure R5 is the waterproof saddle bag from Zéfal. It holds up to five litres and can be attached to the saddle and seat post with robust Velcro straps. When empty, the R5 weighs just 400 grams. In addition, the waterproof material, the welded inner pocket and the foldable fastener keep the inside dry. The tear-resistant reinforced underside is said to offer particularly effective protection against splashing water. Practical: If you run out of space inside the bag, you can attach additional luggage to two outer straps on the top. The Z Adventure R5 saddle bag is available for 54.95 euros in the colour black.

Zéfal also has three frame bags in its programme. The C2 is the smallest variant of the Z Adventure series and should hold 2.2 litres. A little more fits into the 3.3 litre C3 and with 4.4 litres the C4the largest frame bag in the series. All bags are attached to the front part of the frame triangle using Velcro straps. Depending on the frame size and shape, both bottle cages can still be used. Thanks to the minimalist design of the bags, fully riders should also be able to install at least the C2. The openings have been made extra large for easy use while riding. The small C2 costs 29.95 euros, the medium C3 costs 34.95 euros and the large C4 costs 39.95 euros.
