The Versa Cage from Topeak looks like an oversized bottle cage and holds pretty much anything that can be fixed with the fastening straps. BIKE has tested the packhorse.

On Versa-Cage All kinds of round items such as sleeping bags, tents or even large drinking bottles can be strapped on. A pannier bag like the very similar Merida Gravelcage is not included in the scope of delivery. Instead, the Topeak luggage holder has four mounting holes at the distance of the bottle cage holes. This means that it can be attached to any bottle cage mount with just two screws. The elongated holes also mean that the Versa-Cage can be attached and removed quickly, as the fastening screws do not have to be unscrewed completely. The holder is narrow enough to be mounted in the frame triangle without rubbing against the feet or crank arms.

If you also want to attach the holder to other positions, such as the fork leg, there is space for it almost anywhere using the three clamps supplied.

The key data:

+ Lightweight, stable
- nothing
