Our 29er test bike performs quite unspectacularly in the lab. The weight is slightly above average, which is due to the rather heavy frame and by far the heaviest wheels in the comparison. Due to the higher inertia of the wheels, the Jeffsy is not quite as lively on the throttle and requires more effort to accelerate. The riding position is very comfortable thanks to the high cockpit. A different handlebar or stem would provide more pressure on the front wheel. Despite the long chainstays, the Jeffsy is more playful and manoeuvrable than most of the 29ers in this test. With the shock open, the rear suspension pumps only slightly when pedalling. However, we weren't convinced by the suspension on the descents, as it didn't provide much composure compared to other bikes. The rear suspension with the Rockshox Monarch shock didn't manage to follow the ground and therefore didn't build up much traction.
Test summary: Playful 29-inch all-mountain bike with good, but not the typical above-average spec. The suspension quality was not convincing.
