"A simple bike is a fast bike" is the belief that underpins every Starling Fully. We wanted to verify this in our practical test.

The bikes from Bristol do not use carbon, aluminium or multi-jointed rear triangles with a virtual pivot point. Despite or perhaps because of his many years of experience with carbon, company founder Joe favours simplicity. Like the Murmur, all his models are based on a single pivot with a linear gear ratio and slim Reynolds 853 tubeset. Nevertheless, there is a lot of attention to detail in the functional exterior. Due to the choice of frame material, the naked Murmur frame weighs 3910 grams. Compared to other bikes in this class, this is around one kilo more.
