It's always impressive how tyres influence riding characteristics. The fat Conti Rubber Queen tyres are a clear mismatch for the Trenga De, which is actually suitable for touring. The heavy wheels make the suspension, which is not so heavy in principle, sluggish and cumbersome. Especially on the climbs, there is no riding fun, together with the heavy fork the bike feels top-heavy, you are a passenger. The large difference in suspension travel between the fork and the rear end creates an imbalance, and overall the suspension feels rather stubborn.
CONCLUSION: In the selected setup, the Trenga De rides sluggishly. Simple measure: fit narrower, lighter tyres and you have an all-round touring bike.
