Third place: The Remedy is still one of the top bikes in this class.

Since the suspension travel was reduced to 150 mm (previously 160 mm fork), the Remedy has been regarded as the reference bike in the all-mountain class. But now strong competition is looming. In this test field, mainly from Cannondale and Rotwild. And lo and behold: according to the BIKE points table, the old champion has to admit defeat to the newcomers. However, this is mainly due to the rather narrow handlebars, which give a little less control than the wide bars of the two rookies, especially downhill. Nevertheless, the Remedy is still at the forefront, especially when it comes to suspension. The fork and rear suspension respond sensitively uphill without bobbing unpleasantly. The riding position is neutral, and the Bontrager tyres provide plenty of traction uphill. Compared to the Nobby Nics of the competition, however, they roll worse. Downhill, the Remedy is manoeuvrable without feeling nervous. You sit in the centre of the bike and always have good control. A full 158 millimetres of travel are available at the rear. With the optimum SAG setting, this can be utilised well. Compared to the competition, however, we had more bottoming out with the Remedy. It lacks end progression. The bike with the lightest frame in the test is well equipped for its intended use.

ConclusionThird place: The Remedy is still one of the top bikes in this class.
