The larger wheels make the 2014 Remedy a different bike. However, less suspension travel and the more agile geometry do not increase the range of use.

For several years, the all-mountain competition had to be measured against the Trek Remedy. Even in 2013, the 26-inch Remedy scored a lot of points in all criteria. The 2014 season is the zero hour. Remedys are now only available in 29 and 27.5 inches - and Trek was late in presenting this format. As we know, almost every competitor has succumbed to the 27.5-inch hype. Unlike others, however, the Trek frame has not put on any fat and the weight remains in the green zone. The new bike has less travel, steeper angles and a more compact geometry than before, making it particularly appealing to bikers with a playful riding style. No other bike in the group is as agile. The suspension is sensitive and comfortable on the climbs, so you don't necessarily have to use the shock platform.

The alternative
For the first time, the Remedy is also available with 29er wheels. The 8 29 model also costs € 2999 and also offers 140 mm travel. This and the higher weight make the bike a monster downhill.
