The Radon Stage 7.0 on test
The Radon Stage 7.0 is a good all-round MTB with "flagship" features at a fair price and weaknesses in the kinematics.

Radon is confidently flying the flag with its strikingly colourful design. And rightly so, because if you look at the equipment list, the "Stage" lacks nothing: Radon is one of the few manufacturers to even offer the high-end "Talas 32 RLC" fork from Fox with adjustable compression damping. In riding mode, the range extends from sporty riding to leisurely touring - the balanced geometry and central riding position can handle everything. Only the kinematics bothered us: in the small and middle chainring, the suspension is compressed by the chain cable. It's a good thing that the Fox "RP 23" shock has an effective platform system.

CONCLUSIONGood all-rounder with "flagship" features at a fair price. Weaknesses in the kinematics.

TUNING TIP: Fit a shorter, lower stem.
