If you're clutching at straws, here it is: the Ghost AMR Plus is practically the last of the Mohicans. The only 26er in the test. And that's not a disadvantage. The continuity, the mature components, the relatively light chassis, the light wheels and the availability of components such as wheels speak in favour of the bike. You want a special tyre profile? You'll get it. You want special wheels? You can get them (currently cheap!). Buying a 26er is certainly not a disadvantage, also from the point of view that the riding characteristics do not differ from a 27.5er - none of the test riders would commit themselves to advantages or disadvantages. If you're looking for a balanced bike, you'll find it on the AMR Plus. Good geometry, comfortable uphill (Talas fork makes extremely steep ramps easier), manoeuvrable, agile on the trail and confidence-inspiring downhill. The AMR Plus is perfect for touring riders who want to reward themselves with a powerful descent after long climbs.
Conclusion: a classic in the all-mountain-plus category and of course still convincing in 26 inches.

The alternative
The € 2899 AMR Plus 7500 has an aluminium frame instead of carbon and is said to be 600 grams heavier. The equipment hardly differs from the tested AMR Lector, which also features Shimano XT parts.
