Stöckli Amber AMT S
Stöckli has hit the bull's eye with the Amber. A harmonious bike with top riding characteristics and good equipment.

Nobody doubts Stöckli's expertise in the manufacture of skis. But the new Amber AMT impressively demonstrates that the Swiss also know their way around the all-mountain sector: the surprise in the test. Our lab reports: very stiff frame, harmonious characteristics, good efficiency, light wheels, acceptable overall weight. The test riders confirm: "Very balanced bike, hits the definition of the category right in the heart." The good geometry and comfortable riding position make long tours just as much fun as difficult descents. The much-quoted "sit on it and feel good" applies, also thanks to the ergonomic Syncros cockpit. The character of the Amber is agile and playful, but remains calm when the terrain demands it. All the riders bludgeoned through the rocky passages on the test lap at full throttle without hesitation, and with two bars of air in the thick Rocket Rons we remained puncture-free. The suspension provides good feedback on the ground and the suspension travel can be fully utilised. The complete Shimano XT groupset rounds things off. What is missing is a remote-controlled dropper post.

PLUS Top riding characteristics, harmonious chassis, wide range of use
MINUS Relatively expensive
