Steppenwolf's new Tundra plays in the all-mountain sports league. The suspension travel is short, the tyres narrow and the weight relatively low. The compact geometry is ideal for all-rounders. The hydroformed frame looks attractive and of high quality, but is quite heavy in relation to the suspension travel. There is no drivetrain influence, but the rear suspension is more stubborn than sensitive. The Tundra is not a comfort miracle, a shock with a lower compression damping would help. The fork, on the other hand, impresses with its proven good function. Downhill handling suffers greatly from the handlebars being too narrow - if you have your own configuration, you should definitely swap them for a 68 mm bar.
ConclusionSteppenwolf offers a compact touring bike with an independent frame and good equipment. The handlebars are too narrow.
