Specialized delivers one of the most harmonious bikes in this test group. Thanks to its low weight and 120 mm suspension travel, it plays in the all-mountain sports class. The Stumpjumper impresses with its balanced, climbing-friendly geometry, great handling and drive-neutral suspension. Surprisingly, none of the test riders missed the Brain system; all of them felt perfectly at home with the Fox Triad shock and the F120 fork. The side effect: without the Brain, the suspension is lighter. The fact that Specialized is not at the forefront when it comes to equipment can be accepted in view of the riding pleasure.
CONCLUSIONS: The affordable Stumpjumper offers a lot of riding fun and leaves the impression: You don't need more bike!
TUNING TIP: Lower the cockpit.
