With the Q FS model, Hai delivers one of the most sensitive chassis in this test group. Even the first glance promises riding fun. However, this is curbed by the cockpit. The stem is too long, the handlebars too narrow. With the platform switched on, climbing is smoother and the relatively light wheels roll well. Downhill, the suspension soaks up every pebble, responds quickly and thus offers a lot of comfort. The DT wheels are a welcome addition to the spec, and the complete XT groupset is upgraded with an XTR rear derailleur. Only the brakes don't work quite satisfactorily.
CONCLUSIONS: A successful all-mountain bike with very effective suspension and well-chosen equipment. It would be even more superior with a different cockpit.
TUNING TIP: Optimise the cockpit.
