Rotwild R.X2 Pro
The R.X2 Pro inspires uphill and downhill with its superior handling and top suspension. A top-class all-mountain bike.

The 2011 R.X2 is based on the R.X1, but has a carbon fibre main frame. The rear triangle remains aluminium. The frame is stiff, solidly constructed and has an attractive design. On the scales, it is 400 grams lighter than its aluminium brother. At a good 13 kilos, the R.X2 is the heaviest bike in this trio, but has the largest frame and is the only bike with 2.4 inch wide tyres. These contribute to the extraordinarily confident handling. The bike handles like a board, steers precisely and the suspension gets top marks. Uphill you only need the fork drop to 124 mm on very steep ramps, but you won't climb as light-footedly as with the Hai Heet. If you're happy with Shimano's SLX groupset, the R.X2 Comp model for € 3999 is a lot of fun.
