Rotwild R.X2 FS Edition
The well thought-out, perfectly equipped All Mountain has no weaknesses in any discipline. If the Edition is too expensive for you, go for the Pro model.

Already in BIKE 10/10-> the new R.X2 with a carbon main frame impressed us and earned a "super" rating (126.5 points), albeit in the Pro equipment line for € 4599. In order not to repeat the test, the top model Edition is at the start here, costing a hefty 5999 euros, but with a complete Shimano XTR. In terms of weight, this means an advantage of 250 grams, but whether this justifies the extra price is up to you to decide. Otherwise, the decision for the Rotwild is very easy, as it is one of the hot favourites in this test field. Geometry, suspension, equipment - this bike offers everything that makes a good all-mountain all-rounder. The extremely sensitive suspension, which soaks up every last bump, is a delight on the climbs. Compared to the Cannondale, the rear end is a little bumpier, but none of the testers were particularly bothered by this. Downhill, the wide cockpit and low bottom bracket provide a lot of control, whether on high-speed tracks or tight trial sections. The R.X2 has "only" 145 millimetres of rear travel, which feels like much more when riding. The frame is light and extremely stiff, which is also confirmed by the measured values from the laboratory (STW winner).

ConclusionThe well thought-out, perfectly equipped all-mountain bike has no weaknesses in any discipline. If the Edition is too expensive for you, go for the Pro model.
