Rocky Mountain launches the new Altitude with 650B wheels. In the first test: the 750 model for 3299 euros with an aluminium frame.

650B is also an issue in Canada: the centrepiece of the new Altitude is the 27.5" wheel size and the Ride 9 system. This allows the geometry and suspension behaviour to be individually adjusted in nine positions for every type of rider (steering angle from 66.9 to 68.1°; bottom bracket by 14 mm). In addition, the damper linkage can be used to react to different rider weights. In the flat position, the Altitude has enduro potential. It runs smoothly downhill but is still agile in handling thanks to the short 428 mm chainstays. Thanks to the steep seat angle, the bike climbs with confidence, even without lowering the fork. The suspension absorbs big bumps very well. The suspension adjustment options and the well thought-out details make the Altitude a solid all-rounder. We are looking forward to the lightweight carbon version.
