Pure design: Rotwild R.C+FS Evo on test
Rotwild relies on the Brose drive system, hides the battery elegantly in the down tube and, at 20.4 kilos, puts a high-tech bike on the stands that rides like it looks: sporty, agile, direct.

Whether it's a steep uphill ramp or a hairy descent, the riding position is perfect and the suspension is beyond reproach. But - small cause, big effect: the carbon handlebars are so soft that they bend noticeably during the ride. This prevents top results downhill. Even with the optional Plus tyres (even the rims are compatible), the Rotwild could score even better. The Brose drive works inconspicuously, both visually and functionally. The battery is not removable.

ConclusionSystem integration par excellence. For people who appreciate high-tech and design, benefit from the electric drive, but actually want to forget about it while riding.

Discreet: Bosch offers two fairly large standard screens for the handlebars. Specialized dispenses with a central instrument and relocates all displays to the side of the battery. Rotwild simply puts the information in the thumb switch. Discreet, but less ergonomic than Bosch.Photo: Markus Greber Discreet: Bosch offers two fairly large standard screens for the handlebars.
