Propain Tyee AM Carbon on test
Propain has shrunk its successful Tyee enduro bike and transformed it into a potent all-mountain machine with adapted suspension travel and geometry.

Downhill, it is only slightly inferior to its big brother (7 millimetres less travel at the rear) and it cuts a sporty figure on the climbs. The riding position is stretched out, the rear suspension is hardly rattled and thanks to the full carbon frame, the scales remain at a long-distance-compatible 13.2 kilos. A bit of a shame: If you want to switch on the platform for long climbs, you will hardly be able to do so while riding, as the shock is too low. On the trail, the Propain delights with balanced handling. Despite its long wheelbase, it is agile around corners and is potent enough to provide confidence even on rough terrain. The rear suspension works sensitively, swallows big hits without grumbling and provides pleasant feedback - giving you that enduro feeling. The equipment is also absolutely first class. The bike from Lake Constance is the only bike with Srams 12-speed Eagle gears, top! Thanks to the modular system, the details of the equipment can be customised.

ConclusionStrong all-rounder with potential for the most demanding descents. Top equipment and weight.

The alternative: In the Carbon Comp version for 3200 euros, Propain installs a Rockshox Yari and the Deluxe shock. The gears are GX.
