With the new Moterra Neo 4, Cannondale presents its first e-mountain bike with the EP8 drive from Shimano.

All other models continue to rely on Bosch motors. The drive package also includes the 630 Shimano battery. With 150 millimetres of travel, the Neo 4 is clearly in the all-mountain category. However, the robust aluminium frame and the 2.6 inch wide tyres should not shy away from nasty enduro trails. The wheel size remains the same. 29-inch front and rear wheels ensure plenty of traction and pleasant rolling behaviour off-road.

The EP8-Moterra is available for 5199 euros. This puts the Neo 4 among the more affordable models of the noble US brand. For this price, Cannondale is offering Rockshox suspension with a 35 mm Silver fork and Deluxe Select R shock. Otherwise, there is a Shimano shifting group from the Deore range and four-piston brakes from TRP with 200 brake discs. Many other manufacturers offer a higher quality overall package at this price. Depending on the frame size, the TransX Vario dropper post has a stroke of 120 to 130 millimetres. Speaking of size: the Moterra Neo 4 is available in frame sizes S, M, L and XL. Interested? You're in luck! Because the bike will be available from dealers from winter 2021.
