Already in the May issue-> we tested a more expensive version of the Poison Acetone and had one or two criticisms. Poison responded promptly and made improvements. The current test bike has a wider handlebar in combination with a shorter stem, a quick release for adjusting the seat height and a protective sticker on the chainstay, albeit only in a minimalist version. The result: Especially downhill, the All Mountain cuts a much better figure with 135 millimetres at the rear and rides much safer and more balanced. Uphill, the slack seat angle and high front put a lot of weight on the rear wheel. On really steep ramps, it makes sense to lower the Revelation fork.
Of course, the identical frame can't solve the weaknesses of the rear suspension kinematics that were also criticised in the May test (the shock compresses when pressure is applied to the pedals). Nevertheless, the rear suspension with the Rock Shox Monarch is much more comfortable and smoother than with the previously installed DTSwiss shock.
PLUS Lightweight frame, well equipped
MINUS Flat seat angle, high front, drive influences
