In addition to a new design Carver has also given its two fullys Transalpin and Drift a new geometry. With the help of Boost, different wheel sizes can sometimes be ridden in one frame. Carver has also opted for internally routed cables and an integration option for Shimano's Di2 drivetrain. The new Carver bikes 2017 also have metric shocks with individual factory tuning, which should ensure better handling.
The new fully frames come in the Transalpin series with four models and in the Drift series with twelve model variants. Three bikes in the Drift series will be available as special women's versions. Carver is also planning e-mountainbikes that are also based on the new frame concept. The prices of the Transalpin series range from 1600 euros to 2500 euros. The Drift range is priced between 1300 and 3300 euros. The top models Drift iCPS AM and Transalpin iCPS - each with Shimano XTR Di2 - are expected to be available for 4000 euros. More information on the models will probably be available from October.
The Transalpin versions come as fast 29er bikes, but can also be ridden with wide plus tyres. With 130 millimetres of suspension travel, the Carver Transalpin models are aimed at trail bikers and touring cyclists.
This version rolls on "classic" 27.5-inch wheels and, with 130 millimetres, appeals to touring riders. According to Carver, they should benefit from the manoeuvrable and stable wheels and can therefore rely on their bike when crossing the Alps or touring in the low mountain ranges.
For all-mountain bikers, this version rolls on wide Plus tyres, but you can also switch to 29-inch tyres here. The 150 millimetres of suspension travel should also offer ambitious riders sufficient reserves.
The enduro bike was developed by the Carver team in close collaboration with Max Schumann, one of the fastest German enduro riders at the moment. Short chainstays, a flat steering angle and a low centre of gravity should ensure balanced handling. It comes with 160 millimetre wheels and 27.5 inch wheels.
The Lady version is very similar to the "normal" Drift: 130 millimetres of suspension travel and 27.5-inch wheels. Carver has also adapted the geometry to the female anatomy.
