Even if the frame shape of the Müsing Offroad AXM from Radsportvertrieb Bayer can also be found on other brands and has little exclusivity, the bike can still score points with its inner values. Thanks to the 600 mm top tube, the rider sits slightly stretched on the Müsing with a sporty touch. The short, steep Syncros stem nevertheless ensures a high front end and keeps the saddle elevation low. Compared to the rest of the field, the Offroad AXM has been given a little less travel and offers a maximum of 141 millimetres at the front and 132 millimetres at the rear, which puts the bike somewhere between the AM Plus and AM Sport categories. The steep 69.5 steering angle also emphasises the agile character and the relationship to the Race-Fully more than the ability to turn your ears up downhill. The DT shock works sensitively, pumps only slightly without lockout and utilises the available travel well. However, due to the low compression damping, the rear suspension sags slightly compared to the fork when climbing and cornering. With Shimano XT components, the equipment is carefree. However, open cables, no chainstay protector, no tapered head tube and no PM brake mount no longer correspond to the technical status quo.
ConclusionThe short suspension travel and sporty geometry make the Müsing more of a sporty tourer than an uncompromising all-mountain plus.
