Jürgen Militzer has been welding aluminium bikes in Schalksmühle for 15 years. However, he has the frame for his first carbon all-mountain bike made in Asia. We asked him why.

Discreet shiny black carbon fibre chassis and matt black lettering. More understatement is hardly possible. Yet the Mitech Puna Carbon 29 On the contrary: for 4549 euros, the customer gets Fox Factory suspension and complete XT equipment. Contrary to the trend towards ever heavier bikes, the weight of 13.15 kilos with pedals is respectable - especially knowing that you can save another 300 grams by converting to tubeless.
