Good all-rounder, more comfort-orientated than sporty due to the somewhat crumpled, undefined rear triangle.

At 12.4 kilos, the One-Twenty is exactly the average for this test group. There are also no unpleasant surprises with the geometry and riding characteristics of the Merida. Thanks to the steep 73.5 seat tube angle and the straight seat post, the One-Twenty climbs with confidence. At the same time, the sensitive rear suspension ensures good traction. However, due to the low compression damping of the DT shock, the rear end pumps a lot when pedalling and provides a little too little feedback downhill. Despite the moderate 68.5 mm head angle, the One-Twenty reacts agilely and dances light-footedly through singletrack. The equipment with X9 components and FSA parts is appropriate, but does not stand out from the crowd.
