The "AM 3000" was one of the most popular bikes among the testers. And not without reason. Sit on it and feel good is the motto here, both uphill and downhill - and without lengthy adjustment work. The riding position is compact but not too squat, making it easy to pedal uphill. With the Fox fork lowered, the bike climbs very well, and the neutral rear suspension does its part. Downhill, the Merida is a lot of fun thanks to the plush suspension and central riding position. The equipment is consistently high quality and sensibly put together. The "AM 3000" should therefore find a broad fan base.
CONCLUSIONStrong uphill, fast downhill - Merida's "AM 3000" is an all-mountain bike par excellence.
