Lightweight: Pivot Shuttle in the EMTB test
Top suspension, short geometry, ultra-light weight - the € 10,000 E-MTB Pivot Shuttle shines with top performance. But: The cumbersome battery removal costs points in the eMTB test.

Pivot comes from the freeride and downhill sector. This is where the Americans enjoy cult status, and this is where their expertise lies. No wonder that the Pivot Shuttle belongs to a new generation of E-MTBs. At just over 20 kilos, it is the lightest bike in this suspension travel league. And you can feel that in every situation. It can be manoeuvred playfully through the trails, bunny hops are unusually easy. Suspension guru Dave Weagle designed this rear triangle. Despite its moderate suspension travel, it shines with enormous reserves, is stable in its travel even on climbs and is sensitive at the same time. The design is also pleasing. Remarkable: Pivot integrates the Shimano battery into a tapered down tube, making the bike look relatively slim. However, this is also the main disadvantage of the Shuttle: To remove the battery, you first have to remove a cover with eight screws. This is definitely annoying on long e-mountainbike tours and when charging externally.

Conclusion on the Pivot Shuttle:

Top suspension, short geometry, ultra-light weight - the Pivot Shuttle shines in the EMTB test with top performance. But: The cumbersome battery removal costs points.
