With its 120-millimetre suspension, the KTM Lycan plays in the sportier section of this test group. It is one of the lighter bikes in the field, which suits the concept. The frame has a unique look and is beautifully finished. The Rock Shox fork can be precisely adjusted to any rider weight and terrain thanks to the air suspension - an advantage over the steel spring models of the competition. The rear suspension is quite firm and has a lockout. However, it is so drive-neutral that you can do without it. Good: well thought-out and high-quality equipment, powerful brakes, good tyres.
CONCLUSION: The sports bike within the test group. KTM's concept works perfectly for ambitious bikers.
TUNING TIP: Foam rubber grips are a matter of taste.
